American Crime, An
American Crime, An (2007)

IMDB rating: 7.50

Plot: Based on a true story that shocked the nation in 1965, the film recounts one of the most shocking crimes ever committed against a single victim. Sylvia and Jennie Fae Likens, the two daughters of traveling carnival workers are left for an extended stay at the Indianapolis (3850 E. New York St. is hardly suburban, nor was it in 1965, by any stretch of the imagination.) home of single mother Gertrude Baniszewski and her seven children. Times are tough, and Gertrude’s financial needs cause her to make this arrangement before realizing how the burden will push her unstable nature to a breaking point. What transpires in the next three months is both riveting and horrific, leaving one child dead and the rest scarred for life.

Is NIGERIA going to become the next False Witness Iraq War conspiracy setup victim?
It is now known for a fact that America went into Iraq based on the testimony of False Witnesses.
There was overwhelming support at the time due to the knee-jerk reaction from 9/11. Which was proven on several fronts to be a US Government conspiracy. Whose alleged protagonist, Osama bin Laden, is a profile match for the original "MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE" and Farouk Abdul Mohammed, whom EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM (I believe the legal term is "character witnesses") testifies, "COULD NEVER BE A TERRORIST."

L. Ron Hubbard, founder of SCIENTOLOGY, accidentally uncovered the MK-ULTRA programme before he declared his system a religion, by unlocking the memories of people who had been kidnapped, drugged, hypnotized, then ordered to forget the incident, but obey orders given under the hypnosis- such as, to respond to coded trigger phrases which could be delivered by phone- turning them into mindless programmed drone who would, contrary to the conventional wisdom on hypnotism, COMPEL THEM TO DO THINGS CONTRARY TO THEIR CHARACTER, and forget about it later. Therefore giving the FBI/CIA a vast network of spies, thieves, and assassins who are not on the payroll. This fiendish technique came out of OPERATION PAPERCLIP (the post WWII Nazi technology-transfer). How can a democratic nation permit their elected government to keep such weapons in their arsenal? Except their moral fibre had been completely eroded? I remember hearing about a time when a US president banned the FBI from reading other people’s mail.

L. Ron Hubbard was briefly declared more or less a national hero- then suddenly, doors began closing around him. Then his organisation was raided, and his materials stolen by fake law-enforcement officers. It was only then that he decided he had as much right to declare his system a religion as anyone, and in 1954 started "The Church of Scientology." The Internal Revenue service refused to recognize his organisation as a religion for forty years. These are the facts about why he became an intellectual pariah on the Most Hated list! He exposed The Secret Government’s most important superweapon.
All America has to do is brainwash a few Nigerians, Muslims, of course, set them up to perform one single partially-successful attack on US soil, and catch a few, and cry, "AHA! NIGERIA is an AL-QAEDA headquarters!" Within 24 hours, we will be eating bombs for breakfast, and shells for supper, and they will own us, and our children, and our children’s children, for ever.

There should be some sort of International Defense system to step in and stop any nation that tries to pull an Idi Amin (who claimed he had been drugged by the CIA- whom we know has used LSD on people to turn them insane in the past) on another nation that has something they want. there should be clamoring for such protection.

The Israeli company ICTS who did the security at most of the airports involved in 9/11, on the London Underground 7/7, the airport that allowed the "shoe bomber" board in England also allowed this man to board. The big question might be who’s douing the blaming?

Is this a good scene?
I’m debating on whether this scene in my book should be included. It’s NOT the cliche dream scene - as the protagonist is actually aware that it is a dream.
Also, I believe "he" is used too much. Any ideas on how to fix this and the scene’s other flaws would be welcomed.

The rose bore rigid, steely petals. He stroked his finger down one, and it blackened under his touch. As its colour was leeched, the petal crumbled away like ash.
In the dream, he wore a crown of rusted blades and nothing else, but he was alone. His hair was blonde again, plaited down his back in intricate ropes of gold. There was a slight breeze, and it plucked at the long bangs framing his narrow face.
His land sprawled for leagues, a mad tangle of iron thorn and silver rose. As he began to walk, the bushes scratched the prince

Chances of getting custody in Maine?
My Daughter is 11 years old. and has been living with me in maine since January of 2000 Her father is telling her that she is old enough to decide where she wants to live. Also telling her that he wants a chance to raise her and how cool it would be for her to live with him. There is no court order of custody and i am doing that now with a lawyer. Her father has not been involved with our daughters school, or activities unless it was his weekend to pick her up. The father wanting her to live with him has come about within the past 3-4 months. My husband is in the U.S Army and stationed over in S. Korea. There was/is a possibility of a whole family move there for 1-2 years. My Daughters father was supportive of this move at first. Now that her father knows i will not let her live with him on a social site he made a comment on his page the day that i told him she would not be living with him cause he could not provide her with a room of her own and the place was a pig sty, he posted that "just want to see a fat whore die a very very painful death" Now he didnt come out and directly say me but circumstantial to the events it was the same day i had told him our daughter wouldnt be living with him. I Guess my question here is what are the chances that i will recieve custody of my child … What are the chances I could get full custody of my child.

What movies is "land down under" sung in?
My friend just heard it in scrubs this morning and said she has never heard it before when i commented on her facebook post. I know it’s sung in several movies, like kangaroo jack, but i was wondering just how many actually have the song in it? useless information i know, but does anyone know any others?

This song is played during the end credits of the Paul Hogan movie Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles and for the trailer for the movie Finding Nemo. The song is also partially played in the documentary television series, The Adventure of English.

Wikipedia knows all.

My mom (and I) could really use your help…?
So my mom called me last night and asked me a very puzzling question about her Arabian mare. Whenever she puts her into a trot or canter she "kisses her shoulders.." as my mom put it. By this she means she swings her head from shoulder to shoulder in both gaits, and since she rides western pleasure that wont go over to well in the judging arena.
When Princess was 3, she had a foal. I know, VERY young. She was pasture bred and no one knew..But before the foal was weaned Princess did this when they were both running. A friend told us this is what she does to protect the foal? That didn’t make sense to me…
She hasn’t done it since then, but now all of the sudden she’s picked the habit up again. I’ve spent probably 3 hours on the computer today and I keep getting mixed answers, so I want to see what you guys have to say. That saddle is not pinching her, because it was custom fitted. (she’s coming up on 6, by the way.) My mom rides with a very loose rein and mostly uses leg pressure. I’ve asked my professors and trainers. They all are giving me mixed answers too. This is very frustrating for me, because I want to figure it out! If you can give me any information on what the heck she’s doing and how the heck to stop it that would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for your answers.

Even saddles that have been custom fitted can have problems. Some saddle fitters aren’t as good as they’d like you to think, or maybe it did fit perfectly at the time but the horse grew. Lots of horses fill out around 5 - 6 years of age. I’d look more carefully into that possibility for starters. Maybe try riding her in some different saddles to see how she responds.

Also try having her ridden by different riders. If she only does it with your mom on board, and not with anyone else, you will have narrowed down the problem!

The fact that she did it running in pasture suggests that maybe the cause is internal. She could have put her back out during foaling and her swinging her head back and forth could be her attempt to relieve some pressure. A good equine chiro could get to the root of that.

| Jan 16, 2010

hmm. ive never heard that. i guess its her natural way of running. how about try this: try and keep her head still when u run her. i mean like lean up on the saddle, put a little pressure back on the bit, and try not to let her move her head. its odd, but i hope it gets fixed and i hope my answer helped! good luck!
dixiechick24 | Jan 15, 2010

Left right left right on the reins slowly then if she doesn’t respond harder and quicker.

I need help starting a opening scene for a screenplay?
My friends and I are working on a Horror Anthology script which we plan to shoot in the beginning of summer for an entry in a film festival…We have the stories finalized we have characters the only problem is how to tie it up together. We could go somewhere as a ’50’s comic book ala Creepshow or have a narrator ala Night Gallery or just intertwine them all ala Trick r Treat. Great films by the way but I rather keep it original or mesh those particular films into one? I don’t know I am caught on the fence here if you have a truly original concept how to bring a horror anthology stories together PLEASE let me know! I’ll include you in a very special thanks with the project

Have a narrator, a la, "Tales From The Crypt" but make her a sweet old granny and call the movie, "Grandma’s Feather Bed".

Opening Scene:

Int. Large bedroom. Corner of bed visible.

SFX: "Grandma’s Feather Bed" plays in the background.

Grandma is seen hobbling into the room.

Zoom to Grandma, close-up.

GRANDMA:
Hello, babies! You do like Grandma’s feather bed, don’t you?

(Laughs evilly)

But have you thought of what’s UNDER Grandma’s feather bed?

(Cackles as the camera pans and then zooms under the bed. Transition to black, then fade up to first scene of first story)

You can then use Grandma as the transition between stories. Perhaps Grandma can even give a hint of each story before the pan and zoom under the bed.
